Come: Justus, You Are …

Share

His name was Titius Justus.

You can read about him in Acts 18. We don't know a lot about him except that when the time came, he not only opened up his home and created a powerful avenue of hospitality, he helped pave the way for Gospel to more fully expand to Gentiles everywhere.

Titius Justus is just one of hundreds of examples in the Bible of the potency of normal people doing the critical thing for the right people at the right time. He invited Crispus, Paul, Priscilla and Aquilla into his house. He formed and hosted a small group. It's how the Gospel has spread across cultures, geopolitical boundaries, languages, ages, and gender.

It just takes one.

And we're asking you to be one.

The mission of Grace is to help people find and fulfill God's purpose for their lives. And the best way we know how to encourage people to do that is to invite them into our homes and lives and watch us in the process of finding and fulling God's purpose for our lives. Here's the question: Will you be like Titius Justus and start a small group?

Sure, there's a price: an investment of time, empathy for others, people walking on your carpet, parking in your driveway, and damaging your grass … but like any investment, it has the opportunity of being used by the Holy Spirit to transform lives - and who knows what that will mean in the future? One thing we know: the prospectus guarantees a powerful return!
