GROW

At Grace, we believe that a foundational purpose God has for our lives is to grow. But just like every living thing in the universe, growth doesn't happen automatically or haphazardly. Growth happens because we are devoted to something - or actually, to someOne.

This is the Purpose of Discipleship or Maturity.

Jesus said, "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." John 15:1-4

The Lord Jesus Christ gave instructions and examples for us to change and become different people. For his disciples, this is what we attend to daily, moment by moment.

At Grace we'll follow and teach others the path set by Jesus in order to establish that growth.

First, we get you started on Four Basic disciplines or habits that are essential for us to develop and maintain. This is the second of five Discover Classes offered four times a year.

Second, we'll encourage you to live your life interdependently with other disciples in small groups. These groups typically follow the sermon content, but the primary focus is building caring relationships.

Third, we will encourage you to become well-balanced by "growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ" through Life Changer events. These 8 - 13 week classes will help you to become aware of the wisdom of God as revealed in his Word and new areas of character development.
