⚠️🎗️ Cancer with Grace is CANCELING our October Meeting (well, sort of)! 🎗️⚠️
On October 17, Grace is going to Walk for Hope. Walk for Hope is Chaves County's premier cancer support fundraiser and financial support provider. Cancer With Grace is going to be there to join with other survivors and celebrate our own survival as well as participate in fundraisers that evening. Every year, the Chaves County Cancer Fund helps people fight the good fight by giving out $80,000 + to help them focus on their healing journey.
The picture on the left reminds me of my cancer journey: the fatigue, the pallor, the baldness (ha, ha,ha!) the worry of relapse (some things don't change), the feeling of helplessness … but also the courage of others who are on the same journey: the brave ones, the ones who have 100 times more courage and stamina than I do, the ones who refuse to give up, the ones who stare cancer down and through gritted teeth, saying, "I'm not going anywhere with you!"
So, that's why we're going to celebrate. We'll be there to celebrate our survival along with everyone in Roswell, but we'll also be there to set up a table to let people know about Cancer With Grace.
So, if you're s SURVIVOR or a SUPPORTER of a Survivor, come out and walk the course, participate in some fundraisers, and just come out to enjoy being alive!
